The Advocates for the American Osteopathic Association is a charitable organization whose mission is to promote and support osteopathic medicine by:
Educating the community about public health and educational programs surrounding osteopathic medicine.
Encouraging young physicians by providing grants, scholarships, and project collaboration.
Assisting Student Advocate Organizations at schools of osteopathic medicine across the country.
Osteopathy
With a strong emphasis on the inter-relationship of the body's nerves, muscles, bones and organs, Osteopathic Medicine applies the philosophy of treating the whole person (holistic approach) to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of illness, disease and injury using manual and physical therapies (OMM).
Osteopathic Medicine
Members of AAOA may participate in programs that educate the community about the many benefits of osteopathic medicine.
